Sometimes you encounter that provider of care, especially in residential programs where elegance comes together with competence and functionality. Absolute Eldercare does that and if you knew its owner, Elena, you would understand where the commitment comes from.
A relentless care zealot, she made the decision to create multiple programs that would serve multiple populations from the medically fragile elderly to the mentally ill to those with traumatic brain and other catastrophic injuries. Her bases of operation are the Michigan cities of Bloomfield Hills, West Bloomfield and Southfield.

There are many pieces that have to go into effective group home management. When these programs are properly managed, they can be major contributors to care along the continuum and can be a wonderful alternative to institutional placement. It cannot happen unless attention is paid to all of the important ingredients that make a program work.
